Peace Child

I just adore the cute images sold at The Greeting Farm. This little girl with flowers in her hair and a peace sign on her shirt is one of my favorites. I was playing with some different color combinations and really liked this one. The peace signs are from a clear stamp set made by Inkadinkadoo.

Stamps: HG Peace (Greeting Farm) & Peace Signs (Inkadinkadoo)

I bought some new stamps at Stampede Rubber Stamp Store in York, PA yesterday and made a few cards.  I'll be back later this week to share them.

Gina K Designs CSS Inspiration Blog Hop

Feelings of Hope

Gina challenged the CenterStage Spotlight team to make a card with the new Hope is Faith stamp set using  the photo above for inspiration.  Check out Gina's blog for all the details on this special stamp set.

When I first looked at the photograph I was inspired by the butterfly on the flowers.  So I made several cards with floral designer paper and added a floating butterfly.  My first three cards were all based on that inspiration.

Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria

Then I looked at the photograph a few days later and made another card that is a little more literal representation of the inspiration photo.  Here is what I created

Then, stop by these designer's participating in the hop tonight:

Love Bird Sketch Card

I recieved some new rubber from Gina K Designs yesterday.  I think I found my new favorite set to color. It is called Dream Birds, illustrated by Asela Hopkins for Gina K Designs.  I just adore the images in this set and I love the thick lines. The thick lines make it so much easier for me to color with Copics.  I continue to practice shading, blending and matching the right colors together.  I love coloring.  Always have and always will. :o)

So I made my first project with this adorable new set using a sketch from a 5 year old sweetie.  Yes, I said FIVE!!!  Giovana posted a beautiful butterfly card made by her daughter on her blog.  And her daughter drew a sketch to go with it and is asking everyone to play along.  How could I pass that up?  Well, I just had to play.  I love the simple sketch.  It gave me a chance to make a fairly CAS card with several images from the set.  I love how it turned out.  And I hope you do too.

Release Challenge #1 - Gina K Designs

Gina K had her Release Party Thursday night and it was hoppin'.  As usual some of the Design Team girls posted challenges.  Nina posted a challenge to use at least three buttons on our project. I love buttons. So many different shades of colors and shapes.  I used more than three buttons on the card I made for this challenge.  I used the Happy Hearts set from Gina K Designs.  I stamped the hearts with some new ColorBox Chalk Ink pads I purchased yesterday. I like using chalk inks for solid image stamps. I seem to get better coverage. The colors Lipstick Red and Olive Pastel match the Pure Luxury card stock colors Lipstick Red and Fresh Asparagus perfectly.

Coffee, Tech and a Notebook

I've had composition books sitting on a shelve for at least a year waiting to be altered.  I was inspired by Gina's latest video over at StampTV.comhttp://stamptv.ning.com/.  She showed how easy it is to alter these cheap notebooks and make a fun personal notebook for whatever you need to write down. I covered mine with Fresh Asparagus card stock from Gina K Designs Pure Luxury line. I love, love this color.  I also used images from my two favorite stamp sets, Tech Talk and My Cuppa' Joe.  I love my coffee and my tech.  Usually together. LOL!

So here is the final result.  You can click the image for a closer view.  Go check out the video over at StampTV.  She has at least one new video showing a stamping technique or project every Wednesday.
