Coffee Time - SSS203

Time for another great Sweet Stop Sketch challenge. There is so much you can do with this sketch.

I pulled out some gorgeous yellow, gray and white pattern papers that I bought a while ago. I love those colors together. And I thought they would be perfect with the lovely coffee cup with the rose motif. I absolutely love the new set Special Blend. It is without a doubt my favorite. I used several Silhouette Cameo cut files and some fun ribbon and a button. I also added some stitching with my sewing machine.

I hope you decide to play along with us this week. You can get all the challenge details over on The Sweet Stop sketch blog. You can also see what the rest of the Sugar Babies created with the sketch this week.

Celebrate the Boys - SNSDC97

This week we are making masculine birthday cards. Rhubarb Bear with his red balloons is perfect on the birthday card for a young boy.

I used my Silhouette Cameo for all the fun die cuts and used my sewing machine to add some stitches for texture. The pattern papers are from Life of the Party 6x6 pad from Basic Grey.

I hope you find some time to play along with the challenge. Grab some masculine digi stamps and make your own birthday card. Get all the challenge details and check out what the rest of the design team members have created over at the Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge blog.

Have a super crafty weekend!

Springtime Birthday - SSS202

This week for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge we have a twist: Springtime!

I used the newly released Magnolia, Tulip and Lily Block Digi Stamps for my card. I chose the Digital Stamps so I could use several in a smaller size for my card. I love these fun to color flower blocks. I chose to use some bright colors for the flowers and the pattern papers. Pattern papers are from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 pad. The card size is fairly large (6.5" x 5.25") to accommodate the blocks and Happy Birthday sentiment from the newly released Special Blend. I am so ecstatic about the new coffee/tea stamp set that Sweet N Sassy Stamps released. I LOVE Coffee and stamp sets that feature my favorite beverage. And I love that this set is different from the other sets out there.

Now please head over to The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog to get all of the details for the challenge this week and to see what the other Sugar Babies created with this fun sketch. I hope you will play along as well. There is a prize up for grabs with the challenge this week. You can find out how to get your chance to win over at The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog. So what are you waiting for? Go there now and play along. :)

Have a great weekend!

Mercies on Friday - SNSDC96

Spring is almost here. And Korin is releasing some gorgeous NEW Spring Flower Block Digi Stamps today. Our SNS Digi Challenge for this week is to make a Z-Fold Card. They are very easy and fun to make.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock in half long-wise to get a 4 1/4" x 11" piece. I scored the card stock at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". Fold the card stock in half to make a normal card base, then fold the shorter piece back to make the Z-Fold card base. You can check out the tutorial over at Beate's Blog, Fresh and Fun.

I chose to use the Magnolia image for my card. Although I love tulips, I have to say that I adore this Magnolia Block Digi Stamp. I used some older Basic Grey pattern paper and add some fun stitching with my sewing machine. I added a few mini pearls in the center of the flower and some silver pearls at the bottom corner. Topped it off with some ribbon and a button.

Here is the inside of the card with a sentiment from the new Be Encouraged set also being released as a Digi set today. You can click on the image to see a larger version.

I hope you will join us in this fun challenge. There is a chance to win some FREE Digis. Check out all the details over at the Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. And take a look at what all of the other design team members have done for the challenge. Make sure you visit each blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some free digi stamps.

Joyful Saturday - SSS201

Time for another Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.

I bought some new pattern papers at AC Moore the other day and couldn't wait to use them. I also just received this beautiful Flower Field background stamp in the mail and could not wait to ink it up. The sentiment is from the Flowers in Bloom stamp set. I found the red flowers in my stash while organizing some of my older embellishments. Added some cotton twine and a cool yellow button. I also pulled out some brads. Haven't used any of those in a while. Sorry about the blurry photo. I can't wait to Spring Forward so we have sunlight a little longer in the evening. That will give me time to get a photo while the sun is still shining after work.

Now it's your turn to play along. Join us over at The Sweet Stop sketch challenge blog and link up your project made with the sketch for this week. While you are there check out what the other Sugar Babies did with the sketch this week. And don't forget to Spring Forward tonight.

Turtley Awesome Friday - SNSDC95

This week our challenge over at the Sweet n Sassy Digi Challenge blog is Go Green. We had a choice to recycle something or use green. I chose to use green.

I pulled out some old Stampin' Up pattern papers from my stash. I thought these patterns would go great with this adorable Turtley Awesome digi stamp. I was inspired by the hexagons on his shell and used a bunch on my card. I cut everything with my Silhouette Cameo. I used the Mosaic embossing folder that was also inspired by his shell.

Now it is your turn to play along. You can get all the details about the challenge and see what the rest of the Design Team has created over on the Sweet n Sassy Digi Challenge blog.

A little off topic: Don't forget to Spring Forward this weekend.

Hoot Hoot Hooray - SSS200

This week is a very special week for the Sweet Stop. It is our 200th sketch challenge. Woohoo! That is a lot of sketches. To celebrate this special week, each Sugar Baby is sharing our favorite past sketch card along with the card for the 200th sketch this week. Both of my cards happen to have owls. My favorite feathered friend. :)

First I want to share my new card using the 200th sketch.

I used the adorable Owl Be There clear stamp set. I also pulled out some older Basic Grey paper, the Olivia 6x6 pad. I used one of my very own crocheted hearts and a fun little button on the ribbon. I had fun paper piecing the owl and making him several dimensions with foam tape.

Now for my past favorite. I have to say that would be the fun Christmas wall hanging I made for SSS186.

I used the Happy Hoolidays clear stamp set for this one. You can see the details in the original blog post here.

Now it is your turn to join us in celebrating our 200th sketch challenge. We would like you to make a card using the sketch from this week as well as link up to your past favorite. You can be entered to win a special prize. Get all of the details over on the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog.

Beautiful Friday - SNSDC94

It's another beautiful Friday! And time for another Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge. This week our challenge is to make a feminine card.

I colored this beautiful Birdie Bathtime digital stamp with Copic markers. I love the frolicking birds bathing in the water. The Bible verse is from the New Creature digital stamp set. I pulled out an older Basic Grey 6x6 pad, Marjolaine. I love the fun shades of blue and green. I tried out a new card base cut file for my Silhouette Cameo. I like the fun half front that allows the inside to peek through.

Now it is your turn to make a feminine card. Join us over at the Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge blog where you can see what the feminine cards made by the rest of the Design Team and share a link to your feminine card.
