Happy Saturday! It is supposed to be beautiful weather all weekend and I am camping. Yeah!!! I also have my weekly Sweet Stop Sketch card to share with you.
I struggled a little with this sketch. But after all that is what challenges are for, right? The papers are from My Minds Eye Stella Rose. It is my favorite pad of paper right now. :) The card base is Blue Bayou (miss that color from SU). And the circle is matted with Early Espresso. I used some distress inks on the edges of the papers and added some texture with the sewing machine. The stamp set I used is called Vintage Seed Packet. I love the little sentiment "Grow in Grace". Perfect for a seed packet image.
I hope you will take some time to join us and play along with the sketch challenge this week. You can get the sketch challenge details on on The Sweet Stop blog and you can see what the other Sugar Babies made with the sketch.
Have a crafty weekend!
My name is Melissa and I love playing with rubber, paper, and ink. I am always "buggin' 2 stamp". Hence the title of my blog.

CSS Spring Has Sprung Hop
It's time again for another CSS Alumni Blog Hop. If you are following the hop from the beginning you should have come from Lori's blog. If not, you will want to start over at StampTV.com and see what all CSS Alumni have created for the challenge.
Our theme for this hop is Spring Has Sprung. Of course when most people think of spring they think of flowers. I think of my favorite flower of all time, a simple white daisy. I cut the petal layers using a Silhouette cut file. The center is a circle stamped with the dotted image from the set Lovely Ladybug. The sentiment is also from that same set. I used the Sketch #432 from SplitCoastStampers for this week. I thought it was perfect to allow the flower take center stage. The photo is a little blurry, the flower looks so stunning in real life. I think I will make a whole bunch of these flowers and put them in a vase to admire.
Now head over to Miesje's blog to see what Springy creation she has to share.

Retro Stampin'
Like many fanatic paper-crafters out there I have tons of stamps and tons of paper. And I keep acquiring more. Anyone in that same club? A large percentage of my stamps are from Stampin' Up because that's where I got my start. So I am going to start pulling out my older sets and give them some love and bring them back to life.
I made my first card for the Friday Mashup #106. I've never participated in this challenge. This challenge is a color challenge; using the colors Sahara Sand, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum. The shades of purple reminded me of flowers. So I pulled out the set called Looks Like Spring. It was one of the first sets that Stampin' Up had a special punch made to cut out the smaller flowers. I stamped the large daisy with Perfect Plum on Wisteria Wonder card stock twice and cut out the flowers. I tied some linen thread to a purple button and glued it to the center. I stamped the solid diamond stamp with Sahara Sand on Whisper White and sponged some Wisteria Wonder on the edge. Matted it with Sahara Sand card stock. Then tied some linen thread around that layer and through a punched hole of the friend tag. I stamped the diamond outline with Sahara Sand on Whisper White and stamped the smaller flowers in Sahara Sand and Perfect Plum randomly over the diamond outline and sponged again with Wisteria Wonder. Matted that with some Wisteria Wonder and then attached to the Sahara Sand card base.
The second card I am sharing is one I made last weekend. I pulled out another old Stampin' Up set called Teacups. I love the whimsical images and font for the sentiment. I paper pieced the stack of teacups with pattern papers from the K&Company Julianne paper pad. I also used some of the papers for the background and the hexagon layer. Added a touch of sewing on this one too.
I can't wait to play with some more older sets.

Birthday Bear...SSS207
It's Saturday and time for another Sweet Stop Sketch challenge. This week we have a twist with the challenge.
I used the adorable Rhubarb Bear from the set, Rhubarb's Birthday Wish. I also used all of the Birthday stamps from the NEW set, Script Birthdays. The first thing I thought of when I saw this set was how cool it would be to use them to make a background. I got a huge order of supplies from Stampin' Up on Monday, including some new to me colors. For this card I used Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, and Lucky Limeade. Love these colors together. I also got that cool wooden button in my order. I love texture of wood with this card. I stamped the blue triangle with the wood grain border stamp from the set, Grunge Borders. Then I ran it through the Chevron embossing folder from SU. I added some Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon and some red and white baker's twine for the button.
I hope you join us over at The Sweet Stop blog and play along with the challenge. You can also see what the rest of the Sugar Babies created with the sketch and theme this week.

she shall be praised...SSS206
Happy Saturday! My favorite day of the week. And time for another Sweet Stop Sketch challenge.
I used the new Precious Poppies set to make my card. I stamped one of the poppy images in Old Paper distress ink on the tag and then stamped the wonderful scripture verse in Fired Brick distress ink. I used a piece of Basic Grey Kissing Booth 'Oh Darling' paper. Love the cute birds. I used my sewing machine for some stitching. The tan ribbon is seam binding I found at a fabric warehouse. The cool flower shaped button is from Wal-Mart. I tied it on with some cotton twine. I used a flower I had in my stash and some lace trim.
I hope you will play along and create something with the sketch this week. Please take a trip over to The Sweet Stop Sketch blog to get all the details and to see what the other Sugar Babies did with this sketch.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Mom - SNSDC100
Can you believe it's the 100th Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge?!?
We think that's something to celebrate!!
To find out how you could win 3 Sweet 'n Sassy Digis of your choice head over to the SNSS Digi Challenge blog to get the details.
We have a bit of sad news. This is not only the 100th challenge, it's also the last challenge for the Digi Challenge Blog. The clear stamp and dies part of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps business is really booming and Korin is finding herself in the hard spot of having to let some things go. The Digi Challenge Blog is one of the things that will have to be discontinued. Digi stamps will still be available on the website, there just will no longer be regular digi releases. Korin may release new digis from time to time but that will be subject to her available time.
I for one am thankful for all that Korin does and the success of her company. She has such an amazing selection of Clear and Digital Stamps that offer such uplifting words and sweet images.
I decided to use the very first challenge, the theme being Mom, for my project this week. With Mother's Day about a month away I thought that would be the perfect challenge.
I found a cool little gift card holder cut file to use for my Silhouette Cameo. It was a little hard getting a photo, hopefully you can see all the details. I used a Daffodil Flower Block digi that I had sitting on my table already colored in.
Now it is your turn. Head over to the SNSS Digi Challenge Blog to get all the details and decide which past challenge you would like to tackle this week. You can also see what all the other Design Team members have to share this week.

Lots of Sweet N Sassy
I made a few cards with some Sweet N Sassy Stamps. All but one of the cards is for the April Release Challenges over at SplitCoastStampers.com. I must have been in a pink mood as you will see.
My first card is the only card not for a challenge and the only card not mostly pink. I had these Digi Flower Blocks sitting on my table waiting to be used. I colored them with colored pencils and blended with baby oil. I used words from the new Mini Tags and Sentiments set. I love all the words in this set and the font is so cool. I picked up that pretty trim on my Birthday trip to East Earl, PA. We always go to Shady Maple for lunch and then shop at some of the local stores. I love Good's Department store. They have such cool laces and trims and fabrics.
I made this one for a One Layer with Button and/or Twine challenge. CAS cards are usually hard for me, but I like how this turned out. I used my Silhouette to cut the card base. I embossed the card front to add some texture and used a clear button backed with pattern paper and tied with twine. The sentiment is from the Be Encouraged set. Love, Love, Love that set. :)
I made this card for the Present Popup Card. What a fun technique. I used my Silhouette to cut the slits for the inside and the pennant banner on the front. The first photo is the inside and the second photo is the front. I used papers from a pad of Recollections Garden Florals. I used Special Friends and Cute Critters stamp sets.
My final card is for the Inspiration Challenge. You can see the inspiration photo here. The sentiment from New Creature takes center stage on this card. I used the Poppies embossing folder for the pink layer. The label for the sentiment is a cut file for the Silhouette.
Well that's what I was busy creating this weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week. See you back here Friday for a new Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge.

CSS Sketch Challenge
Today I am sharing a sketch card for the CSS Alumni blog hop. You most likely came from Miesje's blog. If not you should head over to StampTV and start from the beginning of the blog hop to see what everyone in the group has made with this sketch.
I used the cute set You Say Goodbye, And I Say Ello. I flipped the sketch to make it work for my card.
Now hop over to Lori's blog to see what she made with the sketch.
Make sure to leave a comment as you go along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, April 16.

In His Time...SSS205
What a glorious Saturday! I had an amazing day yesterday. My coworkers treated me to a fabulous birthday celebration. I will be the big 4-0 on Sunday and they wanted to help me celebrate. I had a decorated cubicle and an awesome birthday cake. I will share photos on Sunday.
Now to The Sweet Stop Sketch challenge for this week. At first glance I was a bit perplexed about what to do with this one. It is not a traditional type sketch, but boy was it a fun sketch to work with. I used my newly arrived set New Creature. I love the gorgeous butterflies in this set. And I was able to use both for this sketch. I also picked up a new Poppies embossing folder last week. It was perfect for the card base. I used my Silhouette to cute out the pieces used for the sentiment. Added some lace and ribbon and adhesive backed pearls. I love how it turned out.
I hope you will join us a play along this week. Please jump over to The Sweet Stop Sketch challenge blog for all the challenge details and to see what the rest of the Sugar Babies created with the sketch this week.
You will also want to head over to the Sweet N Sassy Stamps store. Korin turned 35 on Friday and she is offering 35% off of a large selection of stamps. Plus a ton of awesome new sets were released on Friday. I can't wait to get my order. :) You can also play along with some SNSS Release challenges over at SplitCoastStampers, in the SNSS Company Forum.

Blessings on Friday
Happy Friday everyone! I am so excited because I only have one more day of work and then I have a 4 day weekend to celebrate my birthday. Which happens to be a "milestone" birthday. Sigh!
Well it's time for another Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge and this week we are using cute and cuddly critters.
I had this cute Jelly Bean's Carrot digi stamp sitting on my desk already colored and waiting to be used on a card. I pulled a few sheets of paper from a new Recollections stack I grabbed from Michael's last weekend and printed Blessings to you from Flower Block Sentiments on the yellow sheet. I added some trim and twine and put it all on a Whisper White card base. And here is my fairly CAS cuddly bunny card.
It is your turn to play along. Grab your favorite cute and cuddly critter digi stamp and create something. Share it over on the Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge blog so we can all see it. Get all the challenge details and see what the rest of the team created over at the blog.
Have a great weekend!
