Gone Fishing with a Basket

The basket Gina has featured in the videos this week over at StampTV.com is so easy and fun to make. I decided to make a masculine basket using the new stamp set Gone Fishing.

I've had the basket weave pattern paper for forever. When I first saw the set I thought about this paper and how it looks like a fishing basket weave. So I made one of Gina's baskets with Pure Luxury Chocolate card stock and used the basket paper to cover it.  The metal piece under the fishing rod reads "Wisdom".  I had a hard time picking it up with the camera. This would perfect to add a gift card to a sporting goods store and a little gift to give to a special man in your life.

Thanks for inspiration for masculine basket. I made these years ago when I first started stamping (were in SU book) and forgot about them. When my broken right wrist heals (along with broken ankle...got bucked off young horse 2 weeks ago, 1 hand typing and no stamping) I plan on making these baskets for co-workers that have had to pick up slack while I'm off for a month. Now if I could just figure out what to put in the masculine basket I make, doesn't fish, health nut so no baked goods.
